Live Fire Call of Duty

I recently had the opportunity to test out the T2 Live-Fire Interactive Tactical Training System from American Defense Systems, Inc.  This system was awesome.  Imagine playing Call of Duty on a massive projection screen with real firearms:

T2 provides law enforcement, SWAT team members, tactical specialists and military operators with the opportunity to hone their firearms and combat skills — with their own weapons and ammunition— in conjunction with realistic video scenarios broadcast on a large life-like screen.

This is a great training system and I encourage all law enforcement agencies to look into this system. [AI Tactical].

Congrats to East Islip Class of 2009!

Despite the weather, East Islip’s Class of 2009 graduated on Friday, June 26th.  Under clear skies, the graduates marched out and speeches were given.  Foreboding clouds caused the acceleration of the program and the procession was moved indoors.  The administration and grounds crew worked well accommodating the mass of  siblings, parents and grandparents. So congrats Brooke and good luck at Ithaca!

1st Annual Burning of the Holiday Bush

To commemorate the close of the holiday season, we decided to ceremoniously burn the 10″ tree that graced my living room the previous four weeks. The tree was “planted” in the specially constructed slate fire pit, some words were said and the tree was lit for the final time. We’re looking forward to the the ceremony next year.
